Bob Findlay...Life in Stanley

       Welcome to my site away from mp3 audio, upload, download, gigabytes & all of that stuff.

       This site will focus on the town where I live. Stanley, Tasmania. I have had an overwhelming amount of questions from members of my music site so have decided to set up this site in the hope that it will be more informative and concise for them and less time-consuming for me.

        I returned to live in Stanley in April 2007 after spending 22 years and an hours drive east in the city of Burnie. I was and still am pleasantly surprised at how little the atmosphere and general feel of the town has changed. Tourism seems to have expanded somewhat but not to the point of 'tacky'. I'd like to think that it'll stay this way, even in the facelessness of so-called progress.

         I will be adding relevant things as time progresses, so feel free to join the site as a member so that I can keep you up to date. I'm not a great one for sending out emails every half an hour. I will only send out email alerts if something major happens in the town......don't hold your breath. Yet another reason that I find Stanley to be the coolest place to live.

           So, I'll leave you to browse the site and hope that you glean more insight as to why I think Stanley is the nicest place to live. If you're ever down here, I'm not hard to find.
